Tito Rios is a Bolivian guitarist who discovered his love for the instrument at the age of 8. At 12 he began his classical guitar training with Paul Binkley, in San Francisco, CA.
Tito has received numerous awards in Bolivia and the USA, including an original composition award by Ballet Repertoire Theater of New Mexico in 2010. He toured with internationally acclaimed band Sukay in Asia, also in California with Sol y Luna Guitar Duo, and in Bolivia with Baracutanga during early 2023. He has performed in many prestigious concert halls such as Herbst Theatre and The Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco CA, and in New Mexico at The Santa Fe Opera House, The Lensic Performing Arts Center and the Kimo Theater.
Today, Tito performs as a soloist at numerous venues, including the Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe. He is the guitarist of Albuquerque band Baracutanga, founder and guitarist of Santa Fe band Alma and Tito Rios Trio. He plays charango and guitar for Andean band Qapaq with members of Baracutanga, and colaborates in various duos. He is working on original compositions for guitar and other ensembles, and continues to record albums in various styles and instrumentation.
